Most creator video platforms are paywalls. You build a following somewhere else, then send people to pay for access. Ultra flips this: your public videos are your acquisition channel, and your private library is what they pay for.

Two Types of Videos

Public Videos

Post short-form videos publicly on Ultra. These appear in our discovery feed — real people browsing, not just your existing followers. From any public video, a viewer can:
  • Subscribe - instant access to your private library
  • Send a paid message - starts a conversation in your inbox
  • Tip - one-tap support
  • Follow - get notified when you go live
  • Join your live stream - if you’re on right now, they see it
Public videos must be SFW. No sexually explicit content in public-facing areas.

Subscriber-Only Videos

Your private library. Fans pay a fixed monthly rate to unlock it. You set the price.
  • Upload as much as you want — no limits
  • Post content you can’t show publicly
  • Your subscribers get everything, as long as they’re subscribed

Why This Works

The public feed gives you reach without requiring an external audience. A viewer who finds you through a video can become a subscriber, a live viewer, or a paying message contact — all from that first touch. Your video content does the selling. Most platforms separate discovery from monetization. Ultra connects them directly.

Pricing

Set your monthly subscription rate during onboarding. You can change it anytime in Settings. Subscription charges are handled automatically — fans are billed monthly and lose access if they cancel or their payment fails.

Best Practices

  • Post public videos consistently — more surface area means more discovery
  • Keep public content interesting but leave your best work behind the subscription
  • Use your public feed to show your personality and let people self-select before subscribing
