Private Shows
When you are live, customers have the option to start a 1-on-1 show with you. You set the price and are free to end any show at any time, of course. Private shows are billed on a per-minute / whole minute basis. So when a show starts they pay for the first minute, after 1 minute they pay again, and so on. The charges are automatically deducted from the customer’s prepaid wallet balance. If a customer has insufficient funds for the next minute, the show ends automatically. Private shows can’t be disabled for live streams.VIP Mode
VIP Mode allows viewers in your public chat a clear, casual, lower-stakes way to participate in your stream. They simply pay your VIP rate (a fixed amount per hour), get a VIP badge and different colored text in the chat to stand out, and everyone is happy. Not everyone can, or wants to, do private shows. Not everyone enjoys the vibe of intermittent tipping. VIP Mode provides an option for the long tail of viewers who are happy to hang out, and contribute.Tips
These work as you would expect. Viewers have a tip button next to the chat input that they can press and send between $1-20 as a tip at a time. Tips show up in your chat in bright color, has some animation, and is fun. The viewer hears a “cha-ching” cash register sound when they send a tip. Tips also work in private shows, while VIP mode is enabled, all the time.Best Practices
